Relentless | PAWCast Episode 40 | Veterinary Podcast
Monday Dec 07, 2020
Monday Dec 07, 2020
Over the last couple of weeks, I have had a word stuck in my head. Relentless.
I've been on a mission to figure out what it takes to thrive in the emergency veterinary setting. All of the reading and contemplation I have done seems to have led me to this word. To have a purpose that you believe in so strongly that you are RELENTLESS in the fulfillment of that mission. So many companies, teams and individuals have mastered this art, but it seems to be something that is missing pretty significantly in the veterinary world, even though we have one of the most tangible purposes of any industry. It's simple. Serve the Patient. Be relentless in your pursuit. The rest will follow.
Do you agree that this is the difference maker for us in the veterinary industry? Share your thoughts in the comments!

Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Thursday Sep 24, 2020
Wait, there's value in tattling? Well, sort of...
Week two of the return of the PAWCast takes a deep dive into what we refer to as the snitch loop and how it passively perpetuates the failure and victim mindsets. This can lead directly into a lack of performance and you might not even know it is happening.
Be sure to check out the mind map to this concept here: http://bit.ly/PAWCast

Survival Mode | PAWCast Episode 36 | Veterinary Podcast
Friday Sep 18, 2020
Friday Sep 18, 2020
Finally! The PAWCast Returns!
What an absolutely wild ride it has been since episode 35. We opened our new clinic, and held on for dear life as we survived a summer of over 50% growth from last year.
Stress, sweat and effort was the only thing that pushed us through. We didn’t choose survival mode, it chose us. So we take it, and learn from it. We become better. But before we do, we have to understand what just happened.
This is just the beginning.

Tuesdays with Caroline #5 | PAWCast Episode 35 | Veterinary Podcast
Tuesday Mar 17, 2020
Tuesday Mar 17, 2020
This week, Ben Carlo and Caroline continue the discussion on star players and dead end jobs, and how we see that process unfold in real life. We also explore what PAW does to inhibit that process from occurring starting all the way at interviewing, and through employment with us.
If you feel like you are in a dead end job, self-assess to ensure you aren't the problem, then get out. You are more of an asset than you realize, and you can use that to gain more fulfillment in your life.

Have you ever started a sentence unsure of where it was going to go, and then end up in a great place?

This discussion revolves around our star chart, and is the first in a three part PAWCast series on this topic, so be sure to subscribe to catch the next two, as well as a bunch of other great content coming soon!
In this episode, we discuss the role of performance vs. potential, and how you can start to integrate the star chart in the assessment of yourself and your organization.
